According to the Houston Chronicle, an agreement has been signed between the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the South Texas College of Law Houston to persist in their efforts to secure clemency for the soldiers of the all-Black Third Battalion of the US Army’s 24th Infantry Regiment.
